About the Role
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference in young people's lives?
Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in a village setting in Leicestershire (LE12). The school supports pupils aged 7-16, offering a calm, therapeutic environment designed to help students rebuild trust, develop emotional regulation and re-engage with learning.
Pupils are taught in small groups with high levels of staff support, allowing for strong relationships and personalised learning. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils across a broad and engaging curriculum, including Life Skills, PE, Art, Cooking and Forest School.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Support teachers in delivering structured and engaging lessons
Encourage positive behaviour, emotional development and resilience
Help pupils build essential social, life and learning skills
Contribute to a safe, supportive and well-managed learning environment
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEMH or SEN
A calm, patient and adaptable approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
