We are a family-owned company with deep roots in the trucking industry since 1974. We’re looking for an experienced Lead Driver to oversee local operations, mentor drivers, and ensure safe, efficient deliveries while being home every day. As a Lead Driver, you’ll not only haul freight but also serve as the go-to resource for driver support, compliance, and operational excellence.

• Location: Los Lunas, NM (Home Daily)
• Role: Lead Driver – includes driving and leadership responsibilities
• Hauling Freight: Primarily Flatbed
• Equipment: Model year 2000 and older Peterbilt 379s with 3406E CAT engines
• Fleet Maintenance: On-site maintenance with NSC ATE for minimal downtime

• Safely operate Class A vehicles for local deliveries
• Act as a mentor and trainer for new and existing drivers
• Assist with load planning, securement, and compliance checks
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and leadership team
• Support safety initiatives and enforce company standards
• Provide feedback to improve operational efficiency

• Valid Class A CDL – Must hold a valid Commercials Driver’s License (CDL) with a Class A endorsement.
• Clean Driving Record – Must have no major violations (such as speeding tickets, DUI, reckless driving, etc.) within the past 3-5 years.
• DOT Physical – Must pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). exam and maintain a valid DOT medical card.
• Drug Test Compliance – Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Clean background check – Must pass a criminal background check.
• Experience – Minimum 5 years of Class A driving experience (or equivalent training)
• Ability to Operate Different Equipment Types – Experience with hauling flatbed, step deck, RGN, van, Conestoga, and over-dimensional freight is a plus.
• Physical Stamina – Ability to lift, load, and secure freight, as well as perform other physically demanding tasks as needed
• Moderate Technology Skills (dispatch software) – All company dispatches and communication take place on our proprietary dispatching software.
• Safety-focused and reliable – Commitment to safety standard and regulations while on the road.
• Flexible, Reliable and Punctual – Willing to work flexible hours with strong work ethic and a commitment to punctuality and dependability.
• Ability to Maintain Logs and Documents – Must be able to properly complete and maintain driver logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
• Ability to Train and Mentor Drivers – Provide guidance, hands‑on instructions, and support to ensure driver safety, compliance, and performance.
• Strong Leadership and Communication Skills – Ability to communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, leadership team, and all other team members.
