Customer Service Associate

Join the family of Family Dollar as a Customer Service Associate I.

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while operating the assigned cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well‑stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, ensuring stock replenishment meets productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and general areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Physical capacity to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height, and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
