Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant | Primary Care
Compensation: $110,000 – $120,000 (Based on experience)
The Opportunity:
Dignity-Based Care for the Underserved
Are you a healthcare provider who believes that high-quality medical care is a fundamental right, not a privilege? We are seeking a mission-driven Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a nonprofit primary care team dedicated to delivering integrated, holistic, and fair-priced healthcare.
This is a unique opportunity to be a founding clinician at a brand-new site. You will start with onboarding and training at our established Albuquerque clinic before becoming the clinical anchor for our new Los Lunas location opening in Fall 2026. If you are passionate about health equity and "justice-based" medicine, we want you on our team.
The Clinical Environment:
Holistic & Accessible
Our model integrates conventional, natural, and traditional medical approaches to meet the physical and spiritual needs of our community.
- Population: You will serve adults (ages 20–65), primarily supporting Medicaid, uninsured, and lower-income patients.
- Acuity: A dynamic mix of scheduled appointments and walk-in visits to ensure same-day access for those who need it most.
- Focus Areas:
- Diabetes and chronic disease management.
- Opioid use disorder and comprehensive substance-related care.
- Respiratory conditions and acute primary care needs.
- Technology: We utilize Elation for our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to ensure streamlined, patient-centered documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Management: Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions within an outpatient primary care setting.
- Collaborative Care: Work alongside an interdisciplinary team of clinical and support staff to provide a seamless patient experience.
- Patient Advocacy: Deliver care with a focus on dignity, ensuring that every patient—regardless of insurance status—feels heard and respected.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical records to support high-quality continuity of care.
What You Bring to the Team
- Licensing: Must be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (eligible for New Mexico licensure).
- Experience: Previous experience in Primary Care or an outpatient setting is preferred.
- Mission Alignment: A deep commitment to working with underserved populations and an interest in holistic/integrative medicine.
- Language: Spanish proficiency is a significant plus but is not required.
