Overview

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the Content Applied Science and Analytics team. You will partner with key content verticals – including Film, Series, Live, and Licensing – working on ongoing strategic efforts and new content initiatives.
You will leverage analytics, data science, metrics, and models to drive progress and serve as a thought partner to cross-functional teams that bring our content to life.
The ideal candidate will collaborate across the business to help our content teams create and distribute content that drives member value, and will transform complex metrics and data science outputs into actionable insights.
What you will doEmpower New Content Initiatives:
Own the data vision for new content initiatives, define success metrics, set architectural direction, and guide strategy for emerging formats from the ground up.Own Data Strategy:
Define and lead the analytics roadmap for your vertical, proactively identifying high-leverage opportunities that shape our content strategy.Architect Advanced Insights:
Design and implement high-level analytical frameworks, dashboards, and custom tools to measure and visualize content performance.Elevate Technical Standards:
Act as a technical bar-raiser for the team by mentoring peers, reviewing technical designs, and establishing best practices for robust, scalable solutions.
Creative Thinking: A creative problem solver who can look beyond the numbers to understand the art of storytelling and bring innovative approaches to measuring content performance.
Strategic Ownership:
Ability to autonomously own end-to-end vision for complex cross-functional projects and translate goals into concrete technical strategies. Experience building data products, metrics, or strategies from the ground up is a strong plus.Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
Attention to detail, desire to understand root causes, and a track record of mentoring others, conducting reviews, and fostering technical excellence.Influential Communication:
Excellent ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and influence senior stakeholders.Analytical Rigor & Visual Storytelling:
Combine statistical methodology with visualization to create dashboards and tools (e.g., Plotly Dash, Tableau, Looker) that drive decisions.Technical Proficiency:
Deliver scalable data solutions by combining SQL and Python with data engineering workflows, and apply engineering best practices like CI/CD, testing, and version control.
Generally, compensation consists of an annual salary with no bonuses. You can choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. The market range for this role is $ – $, determined by market indicators and your background, skills, and experience.
