Logistics Supervisor

Description

The Logistics Supervisor oversees daily logistics and distribution operations within our food manufacturing environment. This role ensures the timely, safe, and cost-effective movement of raw materials and finished goods while maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Maintaining the logistics department compliant by keeping records up to date including truck/trailer registration, insurance, IFTA quarterly reports, fuel taxes, New Mexico Tax permits, traffic tickets, toll fees, accident reports, and accurate ELDs
• Ensure that the logistics fleet is well maintained by conducting inspections and scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs as needed
• Execute drayage and backhaul operations following the logistics 3PL Services SOP.
• Review of the pass down report from previous shift
• Check with teammates with verbal pass down critical tasks
• Follow up on any pending tasks by completing them and making final updates posts
• Monitor Airport and Harbor pickups
• Anticipate obstacles and fulfill all deliveries accurately and safely- meeting all scheduled deliveries deadlines
• Ensure the yard remains organized and efficient
• Monitor temperatures on containers
• Report on equipment status
