R Local CDL A Driver (Open)
Location:
North Hollywood, CA - Vanowen - Retail shop
- Act as the "face of Airgas," delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers using a company‑provided truck.
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies.
- Maintain courteous and professional relationships with customers.
- Make deliveries in a timely manner, ensuring cylinders are safely strapped and unstrapped.
- Use hand carts to deliver cylinders on customer property sites; role is labor intensive.
- Frequent exit from the vehicle as required.
- Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements.
- Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements.
- No more than two (2) traffic convictions or two (2) at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years (or a combination of one conviction and one accident).
- No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years.
- Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment.
- Ability to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with material handling equipment.
- Minimum of 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 5 years or a certificate of completion from trucking school within the last 5 years.
- Hazmat endorsement required.
Competitive compensation with a $30/hr base, monthly bonus opportunity, and referral bonus of $1,000. Work ScheduleMonday‑Friday with occasional weekend, morning start and late afternoon finish, offering a strong work‑life balance.
