Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the schedules of truck drivers to ensure cargo shipments are picked up and delivered in a timely manner.
- Maintain contact with the fleet of truck drivers to arrange pickups and deliveries on behalf of clients.
- Prioritize pickups and deliveries based on delivery times.
- Enter orders and schedule in collaboration with operations agents.
- Verify delivered shipments and examine shipping documents for accuracy and possible discrepancies.
- Review agents’ rates, approve, and notify of accessorial charges.
- Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers.
- Cultivate strong relationships with agents and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last-minute schedule changes.
- Respond to queries related to pickups and deliveries via phone and email.
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.
Desired Qualifications
- HS Diploma or Equivalent.
- MS Office Proficiency (Word, Excel).
- Strong LTL/FTL Dispatching Experience.
- Freight Forwarding Experience.
- Bilingual - English and Spanish is a PLUS.
