Dispatcher, Driver Operations

You will be responsible for the safe daily operation of our fleet. You will also be ensuring that pickups and deliveries of intermodal containers to the company’s customers are completed in an efficient and timely manner.

• Tracking and tracing of shipments;
• Scheduling pick-up and delivery appointment times;
• Communicating and developing relationships with customers and drivers;
• Meeting performance deadlines and adhering to all client shipping requirements;
• Ensuring that the fleet’s preventative maintenance schedule is followed and that repairs are completed;
• Performing on-call duties during evenings and weekends when required;
• Complying with laws, regulations and standards and completing any required documentation as applicable.

• Only candidates with prior dispatching experience will be considered;
• Good knowledge of Los Angeles-area intermodal ramps and terminals;
• Exceptional customer service focus and skills;
• Must have good problem solving skills;
• Proactive in communication;
• Ability to multitask;
• Organizational and scheduling skills;
• Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel;
• Ability to learn Axsun’s SAP software;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
