ResponsibilitiesMV Transportation is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for the Quality Assurance program of local operations in compliance with State and Federal regulations and corporate and client policies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly vehicle audit inspections of 20% of the following equipment by division:
- Support Vehicles
- Revenue fleet
- Fire suppression systems on equipment
- Perform inspection of client files, fleet records, fluid sample records and sampling procedures, training records, fleet watch records, and DVIR records.
- Utilize inspection forms, procedures, and check-off sheets.
- Inspect for contract adherence, SOP adherence, training adherence, safety, and OSHA adherence.
- Perform facility inspections including Hazmat, MSDS, SPCC, and others as assigned.
- Must be computer literate and able to document findings via Excel or Word spreadsheets.
- Must be able to work evenings and/or weekend shifts at multiple locations and meet deadlines.
- Must have good communication skills and the ability to read and understand written and verbal communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Talent Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in diesel repair, preferably on buses or trucks, as an A or B technician.
- Prefer ASE certification in two (2) or more areas, with experience in preventative maintenance, brake systems, or related training and experience.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Class B CDL with P endorsement.
- Excellent customer service skills, a clean motor vehicle report, and the ability to work in a team or individually.
- Proficient in Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with effective communication abilities.
- Knowledge of local training programs, operations, and project-specific vehicle systems.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
Starting pay rate: $38 - $42.76/hour
