Location:

Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote) – New York, NY or Santa Monica, CA

The Selection Core Team forms the foundation of the Stub Hub consumer experience and is at the heart of our mission to connect people with unforgettable experiences. The team sources and categorizes data, stores an ever‑growing stream of data efficiently, and exposes the data to the end‑user through scalable, intuitive interfaces. They act as an innovation engine for downstream teams, powering the enrichment of experiences on the front end, enabling new strategies for Customer Service, and facilitating more relevant ads for Performance Marketing.

As the source for all visual assets, the Catalog shapes the look and feel of Stub Hub’s website, serving millions of users a month with engaging visual content.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain impactful improvements across all Stub Hub’s platforms and products, resulting in high‑quality outcomes
• Collaborate with team members to ensure best practices across our code
• Manage individual initiative priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise
• Mentor other team members and help many increase their technical capabilities, fostering a culture of inclusion, results‑oriented execution, open innovation, and limitless creativity

• 7+ years of professional experience in software development
• Extensive experience developing robust, mission‑critical systems using general‑purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, C#)
• Demonstrated expertise in building software with one or more of the following domains:
  Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, API Design, and Distributed Systems
• Previous experience designing and developing solutions to complex problems with significant business impact
• A strong understanding of how systems interact with the broader production environment, including dependencies and platform primitives
• Proven ability to learn other coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools
• Experience owning projects from the initial idea all the way to production
• Experience mentoring junior engineers

The anticipated gross base pay range for this role is below. Actual compensation will vary depending on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Stub Hub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.

Salary Range: $200,000—$250,000 USD
