The Engineering team builds innovative features and resilient systems that bring people together. We experiment with new features, and despite being a high‑scale tech company, the member‑to‑engineer ratio is high, giving each engineer monumental impact.

In this role you will:

• Design, develop, and operate scalable, resilient distributed services that run on Kubernetes or ECS.
• Collaborate with functional teams across Tinder on expanding our service platform.
• Influence the team roadmap and product development.
• Recruit, encourage, and develop other team members.

You'll need:

• Excellent knowledge and experience with a backend language such as Java, Node.js, Go, or C++.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or an equivalent field with at least 2 years of industry experience.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and coding.
• Experience building distributed backend systems that handle high volumes of traffic.
• Ability to handle ambiguous business requirements with effective prioritization, time management, and a focus on execution.
• Passion for tackling engineering problems and driving continuous improvement.

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud computing systems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with No

  DB or Cassandra.
• Experience with Redis, Elastic Search, Kafka, Spark, and familiarity with Type Script.
• Agile development methodology and CI/CD.
• Experience with Docker containers.
