Job Summary:
The WIOA Case Manager provides comprehensive case management and employment services to individuals enrolled in Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs. This role supports participants in achieving education, training, and employment goals through individual assessments, career planning, and ongoing guidance. The Case Manager works closely with participants, employers, training providers, and community partners to ensure successful outcomes and compliance with WIOA regulations.
EssentialDuties:
- Conduct participant intake, eligibility determination, and enrollment in WIOA programs
- Complete comprehensive assessments to identify skills, interests, and barriers to employment
- Develop and maintain Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with participants
- Provide ongoing case management, career coaching, and supportive guidance
- Coordinate education, training, work experience, and employment services
- Refer participants to supportive services and community resources as needed
- Monitor participant progress and track performance outcomes and milestones
- Maintain accurate, timely case notes and documentation in the case management system
- Ensure compliance with WIOA regulations, local policies, and grant requirements
- Provide follow-up services to support job retention and long-term employment success
- Performs other duties as assigned that support program goals and organizational needs
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related field; OR High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years’ experience working with criminal justice or related population.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are critical to ensuring high-quality services for participants. Employees are expected to be dependable, arrive on time for scheduled work hours, meetings, and appointments, and communicate promptly with their supervisor regarding any schedule changes or absences

:
Valid California Driver’s License
- Understanding of causes, symptoms, and effects of long-term incarceration; appreciation for the behavioral, psychological, physical, and social effects of incarceration.
- Recognition of the importance of individual differences created by personalities, cultures, lifestyles, social networks, and other factors that influence behavior.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply this knowledge to re-entry practices.
- Operational knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in the community and within the organization.
- Demonstrate ethical behavior to maintain professional standards and safeguard the participant.
- Participate in community-building activities as appropriate to the position.
- Protect program participants health, safety, welfare, and confidentiality of records and participant information.
- Physical Requirements: Faculty must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently required to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Frequently sitting and typing for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to reach, walk, climb, pull, push, grasp, stretch, stoop.
- Frequently required talk, hear, see, and use repetitive motions.
- Frequently able to communicate verbally and in written form.
- Frequently able to use all types of vision, such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception, to complete daily tasks.
- Required to wear comfortable and office appropriate clothes.
- Mental Demands: Ability to change direction as priorities shift; ability to thrive in an environment that requires adaptation to changing circumstances; ability to professionally work under pressure with difficult or temperamental students & faculty; ability to handle mental and emotional stress related to the position.

Conditions:
Generally, in a remote and /or indoor office setting.
- Environmental Conditions: The noise level in the work environment is moderate but can be loud. The temperature in the work environment is usually moderate to cool but can be cold or hot.
- Travel: May travel locally by vehicle.
$22 - $25 an hour
