Job Title:

Master Auto Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Master Auto Technician to perform repairs on electric, hybrid, and regular vehicles. The ideal candidate will have an Electric Vehicle certification from ASE or an OEM. You will be responsible for executing work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, diagnosing malfunctions using schematics and diagnostic equipment, and maintaining communication with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.

Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs on electric, hybrid, or regular vehicles as outlined on repair orders.
  • Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or requested by the technical team.
  • Examine assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicate with shop foreman immediately if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the work order.
  • Road test vehicles when required or refer to the shop foreman.
  • Stay abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins and recalls.
  • Supervise other technicians and provide guidance and mentorship.
  • Maintain and be accountable for all company-owned tools and manuals, ensuring they are returned to their proper place and in the same condition as received.
Essential Skills
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with electrical wiring
  • ASE certification with at least 4 ASEs
  • Experience with hybrid or electric vehicle maintenance
  • Willingness to travel for training
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Electrical Vehicle (EV) experience
  • 5+ years of experience as an Automotive mechanic/technician
  • Master Level technician
  • Willingness and ability to obtain additional ASE certifications within a year
  • Experience traveling for work, with 50% travel to Michigan, Ohio, and California
  • Located in Arizona near the training center
  • Experience training newer technicians
  • Ability to work independently and drive a maintenance program
  • Customer interfacing skills and presentability

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr.
