What You'll Do

As a General Maintenance HVAC Technician, you are vital for maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for all staff, patients, and visitors. This role involves a wide range of maintenance tasks, primarily focusing on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, alongside general maintenance, repair, and modification of equipment controls, electrical systems, and mechanical devices.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience:

    Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in HVAC engineering is essential.
  • The position requires a professional who can effectively manage a variety of tasks related to HVAC and general maintenance, ensuring operational efficiency and safety standards are met. The role demands technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle potentially stressful situations calmly.
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification: PA 608 Certification is required.
  • LA City Fire Card Certification:
    Must be obtained at the time of hire or within the first 30 days of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair:
    Perform regular checks and maintenance of HVAC systems, replace worn or defective parts, and keep the central plant area clean.
  • Equipment Management:
    Ensure all HVAC equipment operates efficiently, conducting periodic maintenance and necessary repairs.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    Adhere to safety standards and EPA regulations for HVAC systems. Maintain documentation for maintenance and inspections.
  • Patient and Staff Support:
    Assist with general plumbing and light fixture maintenance, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment.
  • Documentation and Communication:
    Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and effectively communicate with various departments to fulfill work orders and equipment needs.
  • Training and Improvement:
    Participate in training and performance improvement activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
General Responsibilities

    Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, ensuring professional conduct and effective communication with peers, staff, and the community.
