Job Summary

We seek a highly skilled and safety-focused Rack Refrigeration Technician to join our Los Angeles, CA team. This position specializes in ammonia (NH₃) industrial refrigeration systems and requires a technician with hands-on experience and technical expertise. Ideal candidates will possess CIRO or RETA certification and have a background in maintaining complex refrigeration systems used in industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ammonia refrigeration (NH₃) systems.
• Conduct inspections and ensure optimal performance of rack refrigeration units and associated components.
• Support installation and commissioning of new refrigeration systems and upgrades.
• Document all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Respond to emergency service calls and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with operations and facilities teams to minimize downtime and ensure system efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with industrial refrigeration systems, especially ammonia-based systems.
• CIRO (Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator) or RETA (Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association) certification preferred.
• Experience in food processing, cold storage, or chemical production facilities.
• Proficient in mechanical and electrical systems troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call as needed.
