Position DescriptionThe HVAC Technician II leads and performs the assembly, installation, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems and equipment.
Position Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Five (5) years HVAC experience.
- Hold a Refrigeration System Operating Engineer Certification, EPA I, II, or III, NATE certification.
- Ability to read, understand and communicate instructions
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Basic computer skills such as internet, email, electronic manual, etc.
- Ability to learn additional programs quickly
- Valid driver’s license.
- OSHA 10 certification
- Certifications for refrigeration systems, commercial kitchen equipment, air handlers, and VAV's
- Prior work experience in a commercial setting.
- Complete preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
- Intermediate knowledge with trouble-shooting equipment.
- Contributes recommendations for the improvement of work methods, safety, material, and tools
- Removes, maintains, and replaces machines, parts, and controls.
- Trouble-shoots with intermediate knowledge for primary electronic systems using ladder logic, diagrams, and schematics.
- Must be able to make new installation wiring hook-ups and upgrade present equipment (as needed).
- Assembles, inspects adjusting, repairs, or replaces faulty parts and wiring on all types of devices.
- Makes intermediate decisions regarding mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Performs intermediate mechanical operations, repair, and maintenance to building systems.
- Interpret and understand Federal, State and local code ordinances.
- Assists in the training and instructing of grade personnel.
- This role is not limited to HVAC work only.
- Must be able to work varying shifts including, nights, weekends and holidays (as needed).
- Available for being on-call for one week (7 consecutive days) each month.
- Heavy Work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
