Total Comp: $180-190K

I’m working with a well-established, privately held mechanical services contractor specializing in HVAC and industrial refrigeration service and retrofit work
. This organization has a long-standing reputation in Southern California for technical excellence, customer relationships, and steady project flow. They are expanding their field leadership team and looking for a high-level Field Superintendent to step into a critical role.

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned HVAC/R Foreman, General Foreman, or Field Superintendent who has done the work, understands the industry and customers, and is ready to oversee multiple active jobs without being stuck behind a desk.

• Oversee 10–15 active service and retrofit projects at a time (no ground-up construction)
• Manage and support a small but growing field team (starting with a handful, scaling toward ~10)
• Act as the primary field lead across multiple job sites, balancing manpower, schedules, and subcontractors
• Maintain strong customer relationships across a wide range of project sizes
• Provide hands-on technical guidance when needed (this is not a purely administrative role)
• Coordinate closely with internal leadership and office teams to keep jobs running smoothly

HVAC & industrial refrigeration service, retrofit, and upgrades

• 20+ years in the HVAC/R industry
• Background as a Foreman, General Foreman, or Field Superintendent
• Strong experience in HVAC and/or industrial refrigeration (service or install)
• Deep field knowledge — you’ve either welded pipe, fitted pipe, or directly led crews who do
• Ability to manage multiple jobs independently while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction
• Union experience is welcome and valued
• Strong understanding of the Southern California HVAC/R customer base

• Base salary around $150K (foreman-level equivalent ~$74/hr+)
• Total annual comp potential $180K–$190K
