The Carpenter will report directly to the Field Manager and should have a strong knowledge base in carpentry and general handyman skills. They will be responsible for completing service calls for customers throughout the region.

• Repair drywall damage
• Repair stucco, siding, and soffit damage
• Rivet placards
• Dig trenches
• Perform minor solar electrical work
• Maintain safety by adhering to all written and verbal instructions
• Promptly report and/or correct hazards or unsafe conditions; question nonstandard operations or environmental factors
• Provide feedback to Field Manager on safety issues
• Take notes for corrections and notify Field Manager of issues or updates
• Keep service/inspection vehicle stocked with necessary materials
• Service solar panel systems when necessary
• Repair all types of roofs as well as ground mounts
• Add or remove panels on solar systems
• Identify/isolate roof leaks
• Read and understand plans
• Review pictures and gather parts to complete inspections on site
• Perform pre-inspection on site prior to inspector arrival
• Open electrical panels & junction boxes for inspector observation
• Set up and tie off ladders for city/county inspectors
• Understand or have experience with AHJ guidelines within the region
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1+ year of experience
• Roofing/carpentry/handyman experience
• Familiarity with plan sets and field layouts
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
• Motivation with attention to productivity, detail and safety
• Ability to work safely with heights on ladders and in confined areas
• Lift, pull and push materials and equipment as needed
• Willingness to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops, and stand for long periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent customer service and collaboration skills
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
• Ability to work well in a team and in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Must have a valid state driver's license and clean driving record

• Manual dexterity and use of hands for handling tools
• Stand, walk, or run for long periods
• Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl
• Reaching, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50+ pounds
• See details at close range and perceive color differences
