Field Technician

Lawrence Doors, Inc., a leader in the commercial door industry and part of the Amarr / ASSA ABLOY Group, is looking for an experienced foreman specializing in commercial and industrial door installations, service, and repair.

Willingness to work overtime is a must. Electrical and welding experience is beneficial.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience using hand and power tools.
• 3–5 years of commercial coiling overhead door installation and repairs.
• Stick welding experience.
• Ability to install edge of docks and weld on bumpers.
• Electrical experience with installing motor operators and gate operators.
• Ability to run floor loops.
• Ability to troubleshoot high speed doors.
• Experience using hoists or cranes to handle steel coils (training/certification a plus).
• Knowledge of 18–24 gauge sheet metal properties and safe handling practices.
• Ability to read drawings and use basic measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Ability to climb extension ladders.
• Experience with safe operation of scissor lift and forklift.
