EVOCATIVE is a global provider of data center, colocation, and managed services. We seek a highly motivated individual to join and grow with us. We are hiring a full-time Data Center Technician in our Los Angeles, CA, Data Center.
Job SummaryThis is a full-time, entry-level position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability and desire to learn and grow their skills and responsibilities over time. An interest in and strong familiarity with computers is required. Specific experience with relevant job tasks is desirable but not required. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining servers and supporting infrastructure in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
The role will also entail providing customer support via an email/ticketing system to answer questions and troubleshoot problems. Previous technical support is preferred but not required.

- Shifts available:
Graveyard shift - The position requires the applicant to work on-site and occasionally requires overtime.
- Training two weeks during 1st shift 9 am to 5 pm
- The salary range is $20 - $24 per hour
- Able to perform all essential job functions, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to lift heavy equipment/items to 50 pounds.
- Able to work days/nights/weekends/holidays, if needed and required.
- Responsible for fixing and installing sophisticated circuits and performing custom installations.
- Racks and stacks customer equipment.
- Reads installation plans (Visio Drawings / Spreadsheets) and implements installation accordingly.
- Installs circuits requiring sophisticated fiber terminations.
- Resolves work priorities from a ticketing queue and ensures consistency to all contribute times.
- Troubleshoots switched/multiplexed / media converted circuits; escalates to and works with a networking group, as needed.
- Works with customers to troubleshoot issues.
- Installs/tests/modifies cross-connects per SOPs and ensures accurate cable management of coax, fiber, twisted pair copper, and intra-building cross-connects.
- Installs and tests sophisticated cross-connect circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.)
- Maintains detailed written records of all work activity.
- Designs and leads cage/infrastructure modification projects.

High school diploma or equivalent.
