The Journeyman Engineer is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure.

• Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain plumbing systems including pumps, valves, and fixtures.
• Respond to service requests and emergency calls in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation of work performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Assist in training and mentoring apprentice engineers and maintenance staff.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in building operations or facilities maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, and kneeling.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and in secure environments.

• Indoor and outdoor environments.
• Exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards.
• May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
