Position: Security Guard - Flex Armed Officer, San Pedro, CA

Note: This is an armed post with opportunities to engage with clients and staff while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter of the financial institution to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents or irregularities in accordance with site protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while on patrol.
• Operate as an armed security professional in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
