As a Security Officer - Armed Transit Patrol Overnight in Los Angeles, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to deter security-related incidents, and respond with professionalism while providing strong customer service and clear communication. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card or License and you must be 21 years of age or older.

What You'll Do- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
- Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and trespassing.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, platforms, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unwanted activity.
- Control access by monitoring gates, doors, and restricted areas, verifying authorization, and directing visitors and contractors to designated locations.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and radio communications when assigned, and promptly report irregular conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Write clear and complete reports, including incident reports, shift logs, and activity reports, and preserve relevant information for follow-up.
- Communicate with public agency staff and local responders during routine operations and during emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Maintain a professional presence and provide directions and assistance to the public while enforcing site-specific rules and regulations.
- Perform checks of critical areas and infrastructure, identify hazards and/or maintenance issues, and report concerns through established channels.
- Assist with crowd management and pedestrian and/or vehicle traffic flow during special events, service disruptions, or peak activity periods as directed.
- Participate in required training, briefings, and inspections, and maintain required permits and/or certifications for the armed post.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
- A baton permit is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a federal drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
