** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

+ Interact with the public, staff, and visitors in a courteous manner while upholding site regulations.

+ Follow all Allied Universal protocols and procedures for armed patrol posts in government environments.

+ Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site-specific policies.

+ Complete detailed incident and patrol reports as directed by site leadership.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + At least one year of security-related experience is required.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Baton certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
