Overview
The Guest Services and Safety Associate (GSSA) at National Health Foundation provides front-line guest services while maintaining a safe environment for residents, guests, and staff. This role mirrors the responsibilities of the GSA Lead with an additional focus on safety, security, and emergency response. The GSSA serves as a front-line leader for the Guest Services Associates team and as a liaison between departments to support smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities- Guest Experience & Team Leadership:
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to schedule Guest Services Associates; foster hospitality; lead guest activities; delegate tasks and complete shift assignment sheets; conduct shift meetings; provide coaching and support; participate in onboarding and training; ensure daily logs, shift notes, and incident reports are completed. - Safety & Security:
Serve as first point of response to safety/security incidents; perform routine facility checks and patrols; lead emergency evacuations and drills; monitor access and enforce visitor protocols; support behavior management and de-escalation; collaborate with internal teams to maintain a secure environment; maintain knowledge of Emergency Action Plans (EAP); report incidents per policy. - Administrative & Operational Support:
Implement systems and procedures; attend meetings and complete shift handoff documentation; perform general GSA duties; be flexible to work additional shifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in guest services, security, or related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to remain calm under pressure; experience with conflict resolution and trauma-informed care a plus; ability to work independently and collaboratively; proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems; must pass background check and safety training.
Frequent standing and walking; bending, stopping, squatting, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and pushing/pulling; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; high noise levels in some areas; conversational speech for communication.
