$95,000 - $100,000 per year, plus commission.
Responsibilities- Manage the property's reactive and proactive catering sales efforts.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve maximum revenues.
- Create and manage quarterly and monthly sales plans.
- Build local client base through sales calls, prospecting, networking, referrals.
- Respond to customer inquiries and develop customers independently.
- Promote the restaurant through local networking organizations.
- Approve and negotiate contracts for catering sales team.
- Analyze competition to maintain competitiveness and appropriate pricing.
- Ensure financial performance of the department by maximizing revenue opportunities through upsell and best practices.
- Prepare all monthly reports for support center including accurate sales forecasts and booking reports.
- Achieve or exceed booking goals and budgets for self and team.
- Establish team and individual sales goals.
- Ensure successful events that meet client needs and company profitability guidelines.
- Communicate all relevant information to appropriate departments in a timely, detailed manner.
- Ensure team sells products and services the operations team can execute.
- Respond promptly to customer issues and resolve complaints.
- Maintain effective communication, direction, support, timely feedback and recognition of performance.
- Provide support and coaching to team members to drive high levels of performance, job satisfaction, and personal growth.
- Celebrate team success.
- Create sales activity expectations.
- 5 years of progressive, strong sales experience with a catering company, full‑service hotel, or restaurant.
- Experience managing a Catering Sales Department team.
- College Degree preferred.
- Experience with Catering Management Software.
- Strong catering sales and event planning experience.
- Experience in accurate forecasting, and preparation of sales plans and financial reports.
- Work with fluctuating schedule based on departmental requirements.
- Observe all SRC Policies and Procedures.
- Create and maintain a team atmosphere within the department and ensure employees are appropriately trained with an adequate workload.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
- Strong PC skills with working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Office, Outlook.
- Highly organized and creative.
