Position Summary

We are searching for a detail-oriented technical sales engineer to join our team in the Orange County/Los Angeles area. The technical sales engineer’s responsibilities include delivering product demonstrations, networking with clients, speaking at company events, attending trade shows and marketing events, conducting research, and increasing your knowledge of the solutions we offer to our customers.

Main Duties

  • Keep up to date with new solutions and industry trends.
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops to improve your skills and knowledge, network with customers, and network with partners.
  • Conduct research and obtaining feedback from clients.
  • Write reports and liaise with the team regarding issues, foreseeable problems, and effective solutions.
  • Simplify technical terms during product demonstrations.
  • Maintain and expand strong professional relationships with existing clients, partners, and coworkers.
  • Actively participate during customer meetings to understand customer’s needs and advise them on the best solution.
  • Create bill-of-materials for product purchases.
  • Gather customer’s objectives and information needed for statement of work documents.
  • Participate and lead proof-of-concepts and evaluations.
  • Create business cost analysis, including comparisons of solutions with recommendations.
  • Appropriately prioritize ad hoc questions from account managers and customers.
  • Strategic alignment with account managers, including pre-meeting game plans and post-meeting debrief discussions.
  • Participate in handoffs from pre-sales to post-sales.
  • Present recommendations and business value for solutions.

What You Bring

Education & Experience:

Technical Sales and Technical certifications from IT solution companies such as:
Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, Crowd Strike, Rapid7

Qualifications & Key Skills

  • Experience selling IT/Security products and professional services.
  • Strong enterprise architecture/technology understanding.
  • Strong customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, research, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong, supportive relationship builder (customers, partners, fellow team members).
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Able to effectively speak to groups of people (small to large groups).
  • Patient/calm demeanor with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to identify customer opportunities that align with our company’s solutions/offerings.

Salary

Salary Range: 110k - 160k salary + bonus + benefits
