- Coordinate with the Department Manager in planning and delegating daily work assignments and schedules to associates. Ensure that all Zenput Submission Reports are submitted by the expected cutoff time
- Communicate attendance, performance, productivity, staffing or training issues, system improvement needs, or any other relevant information to the Department Managers in a timely, thorough, and professional manner
- Assist in training new and current employees. Educate the team on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm
- Ensure that department employees provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate with upper management to help maintain and follow health and safety rules
- Ensure that the grocery floor and warehouse are organized before shifts end; no boxes or products should be left on the floor
- Ensure that clerks are properly working on incoming products; this includes matching UPCs, rotating, and checking dates consistently. No cutting in items without a supervisor or management being aware.
- Arrive at the work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work. Work all scheduled shifts and attend required training and meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 3 years of grocery management experience required.
- Good communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to consistently lift 35 - 50 lbs, unaided.
