• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, often up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker maintains outstanding customer service as per company standards, processes sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, performs cash register operations, and safeguards company assets. The role requires bending, standing, and stooping for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements.
