Overview

As a Cosmetic Sales Colleague (Beauty Advisor) you will be the trusted beauty expert customers turn to. Passion for products and people, you create personalized, inspiring shopping experiences that build confidence and drive sales.

You’ll serve as both an educator and a beauty expert—offering product demonstrations and tailored consultations, including makeup application and skincare recommendations. Your deep product knowledge and trend awareness allow you to introduce customers to new items and innovations that match their unique needs and style. Building lasting client relationships is at the heart of your role. You’ll proactively grow and manage a loyal client base through consistent follow‑up, virtual outreach, and personalized service—always aiming to exceed expectations and achieve sales goals.

  • Begin each day energized, ready to make an impact, and wear your name badge with pride. Greet teammates, ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and ready for customers.
  • Review sales goals, new arrivals, top‑selling items, and current promotions before starting to stay fully informed.
  • On the floor, focus on the customer—offering a warm welcome, making eye contact, and engaging in friendly, personal conversations to build relationships.
  • Maintain a shoppable space by keeping the counter and sales floor organized, refreshing signage and pricing, and assisting with merchandise moves as needed.
  • Finish strong: promote loyalty program benefits, make sure customers have everything they need, and end with a sincere thank‑you, often walking the package around and using the customer’s name.
  • Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
  • Strive for daily improvement, achieve sales goals, and learn from each other to deliver individual and store results.
Who You Are
  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong communication skills in English—able to understand and convey information with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
  • Deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships, uncovering needs, demonstrating product application, and educating customers.
  • Drive sales and client loyalty through an organized space, effective use of clienteling tools, participation in sales events, and ongoing training.
  • Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service.
  • Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
  • Use point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.
  • At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience required.
Essential

Physical Requirements
  • Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25 lbs, and performing stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
  • Reaching, including above eye level; close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers and handheld equipment for register transactions.
