Main purpose of the Assistant Product Developer role

The Assistant Product Developer for the Active segment will use organizational skills to maintain product specifications, communicate with vendors, and support the team from concept through production. This position supports various aspects of the Design/Development process through close partnerships and consistent communication to ensure the development process runs efficiently. This is a permanent full-time role for a candidate who understands deadlines and has strong organizational skills that thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Contribute to and support the product development process from concept through TOP
  • Create and maintain up to date TP's and BOM's
  • Maintain and create Illustrator tech sketches
  • Assist in TP hand-off and wash development as needed
  • Communicate with manufacturers to ensure product specifications as needed
  • Organize and maintain wash, fit standard, fabric and trim libraries
  • Update design boards/decks as directed by management
  • Review fitting updates/changes with Product Development Leads which includes updating sketches/TP’s as needed and in a timely manner
  • Update and maintain WIPs as needed
  • Assist the team in preparing for quarterly PD hand offs and proto reviews
  • Assist with trim development which can include helping create layouts for special trim developments
  • Support with console data accuracy which includes maintaining accurateness across all platforms
  • Attend fittings as needed
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management
Required Competencies

  • Self-driven with a sense of urgency
  • Highly organized, able to take direction, and high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills, initiative and follow-up skills
  • Must be able to take charge, multi-task and lead projects
  • Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, provide a high level of attention to detail, and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously

  • Flexible and adaptable to a very fast-paced environment
