The Associate Buyer supports senior buying leadership in developing and executing merchandise assortments that drive sales and achieve key business objectives. This role is highly cross‑functional, partnering with Planning, Retail, Ecommerce, Merchandising, Marketing, and Store Operations to bring product strategies to life across direct-to-consumer channels, from concept through in‑store and online execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Merchandising, Planning, Ecommerce, Marketing, Visual, and Retail teams to align on assortment strategies and seasonal execution.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute weekly and monthly business reports (e.g., sales, receipts, best sellers, sell‑through) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; support ad hoc analysis and reporting needs for leadership.
  • Influence assortments by analyzing product performance, customer feedback, consumer trends, competitive landscape, and local market insights, and summarize findings for key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with store leadership to gather product feedback, understand regional performance, and identify assortment opportunities to optimize in‑store productivity.
  • Maintain operational files including buy plans, receipt trackers, and visual line sheets; ensure all documentation is accurate, consistent, and accessible to internal partners.
  • Organize and manage shared drives for seasonal buys, receipts, and reporting to support data alignment across channels; track shipments, deliveries, transfers, and RTVs to ensure timely product flow between stores, ecommerce, and distribution.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while remaining flexible to evolving business needs.
  • Prepare seasonal hindsight analyses, ad hoc reports, and business recaps to support informed decision‑making and in‑season actions.
  • Support senior buying leadership in key meetings and strategy sessions through data preparation, presentation building, and summary insights.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Site Merchandising, and Marketing to ensure products are available, accurately represented, and effectively presented online and in stores.
  • Assist in delivering product knowledge sessions and seasonal assortment reviews to educate store teams on new product launches and key investments.
  • Stay informed on the competitive landscape, consumer trends, and local market dynamics to help shape future buys and assortment strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
  • MUST SPEAK MANDARIN
  • 2–4 years of experience in Buying, Planning, or Merchandising Operations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of retail math and key merchandising metrics.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data validation) and strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Proven analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels while maintaining accountability and independence.
  • Ability to manage and execute priorities in a timely manner within a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
  • Experience with retail systems (e.g., ERP, buying or wholesale platforms, ecommerce platforms) is a plus.
