Overview

DRUG-GEN MDSE/CLERK ate an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and maintain a safe, clean environment. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor quality assurance standards. • Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department; respond to questions and make product recommendations.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of Drug GM specials and recommend Drug GM items to meet their needs.
• Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions, notifying management.
• Inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and report items in need of repair.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents; report safety risks, illegal activity including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment; manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information; follow directions and seek help when needed.
• Provide support through interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults; perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
