Job Requisition

The Inventory Control Coordinator will support all medical supplies and equipment for all hospital departments. The role includes receiving, storing, controlling, and delivering materials, managing the inventory control system, maintaining product data, rectifying miscalculations, analyzing operational results, reporting findings to management, and recommending improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for all general store locations utilizing IMMS system ROP/ROQ levels.
  • Process recommended daily orders using IMMS generated lists.
  • Perform daily count verification of all general store locations to ensure accurate inventory location counts, including a walkthrough before ordering.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts of general store locations and submit results to supervisors.
  • Perform bi‑weekly bin counts on a revolving schedule to verify general store counts each month.
  • Verify that all general store stock is clearly labeled with IMMS number and bin location.
  • Maintain all additions and deletions to general store inventory.
  • Process all general store receipts, verify orders, and file packing lists.
  • Report receipt discrepancies to buyers and department supervisors.
  • Rotate all general store stock to minimize outdating supplies and monitor for outdated items.
  • Notify supervisors of any back orders promptly to ensure stock availability.
  • Process all department non‑stock receipts, including sorting, verifying, and delivering supplies.
  • Maintain Omnicell stock with all additions, deletions, and adjustments as instructed by supervisors.
  • Keep the warehouse neat and orderly on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a perpetual inventory system through proper management and analysis of reorder reports, in‑house census, and departmental needs.
  • Ensure recommended orders are performed daily and as needed to sustain required inventory levels and minimize stock‑outs; return overstock promptly.
  • Ensure cycle counts are performed weekly for the warehouse and report findings to the Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of inventory control experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of all medical supplies used in a medical facility.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique as it applies to supply handling.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Demonstrated customer‑service oriented behavior.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computer systems used in material management.
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days and renewed before expiration.

The hourly rate range for this position is $25.00 – $39.69.
