Job PurposeThe Food Runner plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by ensuring food is quickly, accurately, and professionally delivered from the kitchen to guests.
This position supports both Front of House and Back of House teams by maintaining service flow, assisting with table readiness, and helping ensure every guest receives timely, polished service during peak periods.
Responsibilities- Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to dining areas quickly and accurately.
- Assist servers by staging plates, running orders, and supporting table service.
- Interact with guests in a warm and professional manner when delivering food.
- Ensure dishes are presented correctly and match order tickets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in service stations and pass-through areas.
- Follow all sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
- Assist with resetting tables, clearing finished courses when needed, and maintaining dining room readiness during service.
- Replenish service supplies including condiments, trays, linens, and utensils.
- Support opening and closing duties such as cleaning stations, sweeping, removing trash, and organizing equipment.
- Communicate timing or quality concerns to kitchen or floor leadership.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by leadership.

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable during busy service periods.
- Interest in learning and growing within the food and beverage field.

- Schedule varies based on business needs and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires frequent movement throughout the venue including dining areas, kitchen, bar, and service stations.
- Extended periods of standing and walking during shifts.
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing up to 30–50 pounds (such as trays, racks, boxes, or supplies). - May assist with moving furniture, resetting tables, or supporting service flow during peak periods.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment may involve loud noise levels, exposure to cleaning products, hot or cold food items, and fast-paced service conditions.
