Food Service Worker​/Cashier

Overview

We are hiring immediately for a full time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER position.

Village Christian School - 8930 Village Avenue, Sun Valley, CA 91352.

Schedule:

Full time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. More details upon interview.

• Performs cashiering duties, including sales transactions and entering sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded. Makes change and accepts various forms of payment. Issues receipts and conducts cash refunds according to standard procedures.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Stores foods in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils; maintains sanitation and safety requirements.
• Follows approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service; interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a service-oriented manner.
• Relays relevant information to supervisor; performs other duties as assigned.

• 2 years of previous cooking or food service experience is preferred.

• Pay Range: $17.87 per hour to $20.00 per hour.
