We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead daily operations at a high-volume, full-service restaurant specializing in authentic Japanese cuisine. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, values operational excellence, and is committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences.

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, developing a strong team culture, maintaining high food and service standards, and driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations & Quality
    • Oversee daily restaurant operations while ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
    • Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency in line with brand and culinary expectations.
  • Guest Experience
    • Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by addressing concerns professionally and creating memorable dining experiences.
    • Set the tone for hospitality and service excellence on every shift.
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing management and hourly team.
    • Coach and mentor team members through ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.
    • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Financial & Inventory Management
    • Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost-control initiatives to maximize profitability.
    • Oversee inventory, ordering, and waste reduction efforts.
  • Systems & Scheduling
    • Utilize POS systems (Toast and/or Aloha) for reporting, cash handling, and operational efficiency.
    • Create effective schedules and manage labor to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven General Manager or senior restaurant management experience in high-volume operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culinary standards.
  • Experience in fine dining, casual dining, or fast-casual environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Solid understanding of food safety regulations and operational best practices.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, inventory control, and kitchen management.
  • Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management education preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
