Description
The Department of Neurobiology is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support innovative research examining the neural mechanisms of animal social behavior in health and disease. The incumbent will assist with a range of laboratory procedures including behavioral testing, stereotaxic surgeries, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, quantitative image analysis, and behavioral annotation, while also contributing to shared laboratory operations such as inventory management, supply ordering, preparation of laboratory solutions, and general lab maintenance.
This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative neuroscience research environment and is ideal for candidates interested in building practical research skills.
- Assist with behavioral testing
- Perform stereotaxic surgeries
- Conduct immunohistochemistry and microscopy
- Do quantitative image analysis and behavioral annotation
- Contribute to shared laboratory operations such as inventory management and supply ordering
- Prepare laboratory solutions and maintain general lab maintenance
Hourly range: $23.12-$27.20
