Job Description

At EA, we strive to inspire the world to play. On Consumer Insights, we are looking for an associate researcher who will provide strategic, data‑driven insights that guide the development and marketing of all EA franchises.

Consumer Insights is constantly in pursuit of understanding our players—how they play and how their behaviors change alongside the ever‑changing gaming market. This role supports consumer research for our studios, brands, and the games they create. You’ll partner closely with studios, brand and marketing teams, as well as fellow researchers and analysts in North America and Europe. We seek a researcher who is curious and can provide critical insights that impact games, live services, and communications.

You will manage research studies, analyze data, and develop deliverables that influence important marketing and development decisions.

The role can be based in either Redwood City or Los Angeles with the option to work locally on a hybrid work model.

Typical Week
  • Analyzing data and building a story that guides product and marketing decisions
  • Managing several research studies simultaneously; communicating with vendors, research partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Writing questionnaires and discussion guides that answer key business objectives
  • Supporting large custom research studies in partnership with other Consumer Insights team members
  • Presenting research reports to internal partners that influence decision making
  • Exploring new research tools that can create efficiencies or provide deeper insights
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
  • 1‑3 years of relevant job experience in a market research agency or company working in areas of consumer research
  • Experience in data processing and statistical analysis (e.g., developing crosstabs, weighting, appending data)
  • Experience using a market research survey platform (e.g., Qualtrics or Forsta)
  • Experience summarizing complex data into insights
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research
  • Organized and adept at learning to work with a variety of tools and systems
  • Interested in learning more about video games
