Position Overview
A well-capitalized and growing retail real estate owner/operator is seeking a Lease Planning & CAD Manager to support leasing, redevelopment, and portfolio space planning across a multi-asset retail portfolio located throughout the Western United States.
This role will be responsible for producing and maintaining lease exhibits, leasing plans, and LOD drawings while supporting internal leasing, asset management, and development teams. The position is highly execution-oriented and focused on technical drawing production and leasing plan management rather than conceptual architectural design.
Key Responsibilities Lease Exhibits & Leasing Plans- Prepare lease exhibits, demising plans, and LOD drawings for new leases, renewals, and amendments
- Maintain and update master leasing plans across multiple retail assets
- Ensure consistency between executed lease documents and leasing plans
- Support suite reconfigurations including tenant expansions, contractions, and space splits
- Track and maintain GLA measurements and suite numbering
- Prepare test fits and space planning layouts to support leasing negotiations
- Provide timely revisions based on leasing feedback and tenant requirements
- Work directly with internal leasing teams and external brokers to support deal execution
- Assist with repositioning and redevelopment initiatives through layout and space planning analysis
- Coordinate with third-party architects and consultants when construction drawings are required
- Maintain drawing standards, templates, and version control procedures
- Support acquisition and disposition due diligence through drawing review and analysis
- Maintain organized digital drawing libraries and portfolio plan documentation
- 4+ years of experience preparing lease exhibits, leasing plans, or demising plans within retail real estate
- Strong knowledge of shopping centers, malls, or mixed-use retail environments
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience supporting leasing teams or tenant coordination efforts
- Strong understanding of space planning and GLA measurement
- Experience working with retail architecture firms, landlord technical services teams, or tenant coordination firms
- Experience supporting multi-property retail portfolios
- Familiarity with Revit or other drafting/design software
- Experience working for a retail landlord, developer, or owner/operator
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced leasing environments
- Practical and solution-oriented mindset
- Base salary range: $90,000 – $120,000, depending on experience
- Discretionary performance bonus
