TheOpportunity
Silvus is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II who will report to the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor on the OQC team. Primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring proper procedures are followed for incoming electronic and mechanical parts and during the manufacturing and testing process. This role is also responsible for investigating any quality issues, anomalies, or failures and will work alongside engineering and suppliers to recommend any necessary changes or improvements.
The position is full-time, on-site daily, Monday through Friday. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West LA
.
- Perform and document inspections of products and processes, including electronic cables, GPS devices, Wi-Fi dongles, connectors, mechanical enclosures, shields, and other critical components.
- Conduct inspections tied to receiving raw materials, parts, components, and fit checks as necessary.
- Ability to inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
- Prepare in-process inspection reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain Quality documentation.
- Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of electronic part inspection experience.
- Proficient experience utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
- Read and interpret part documentation, including blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
- Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and various communication systems effectively.
- Identify and escalate potential issues.
- Maintain clear and accurate records and documentation.
- Must have excellent organizational skills, be highly attentive to details, and have the capacity to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent and effective oral and written communication.
- Note:
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts. - All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.

- IPC-J-STD 610, 620 or 001.
- Ability to recognize the importance of processes and procedures and follow accordingly.

- Proactively recognize challenges or risks and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional exposure to heat and cold.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
- Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
- Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
