. VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley is growing! We are adding experienced and knowledgeable ER RVTs to our team as we gear up to extend our hours back to 24/7 after updating and remodeling our fully equipped facility.
Compensation
: $30 – $45 per hour
Schedule
:
Day - 6am to 3:30pm;
Swing - 2pm to 12:30am
At VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley (VCA VSV), we offer emergency, critical and urgent care for dogs and cats, as well as internal medicine, neurology, oncology and surgery services. We work closely with local veterinarians to provide comprehensive, specialty-level veterinary care for pets. Our veterinarians and board certified specialists are dedicated to providing you and your pet with the same level of skilled, compassionate care they insist on for their own pets.
Responsibilities- Venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Radiology
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Physical examinations and patient assessment
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Dentistry
- Laboratory work
- Pharmacy
- Patient recovery
- Compassionate care for hospitalized patients
- Must have documented previous experience
- Hold a current RVT license
- Must have surgery experience
- Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
- Customer service skills
- Working knowledge of computers
- Excellent communications skills
- Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant
- Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
