Pet Hotel - Overnight Kennel Attendant & Driver

Overview

We are a large, well-established dog and cat hotel since 1983, seeking pet-loving individuals to join our team. The successful candidate will share our commitment to providing the highest quality care to our overnight guests. All potential candidates must be comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds, be flexible with their schedule, and able to work irregular hours (overnight), weekends, and holidays.

Overnight hours are 6pm to 6am. Daytime hours vary based on pet driving schedules. Flexibility is required including nights, weekends, and holidays. We are available to our clients 24/7, 365 days a year.

• Provide customer service: check in and out clients, update records, email clients, answer phone calls.
• Feed dogs and cats with strict diets, wash bedding and laundry, wash dishes, walk dogs, monitor each animal’s eating and behavior.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the facility; assist with transporting pets to airport terminals as needed for flights.

• Must have proficient computer skills, be able to multitask, and have prior customer service experience.
• Must be able to drive the company van to transport pets to and from airports; clean driving record required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Only apply if you have prior working experience (minimum 6 months) with a veterinary clinic, animal boarding facility, or animal shelter. Applications with no prior experience will not be considered.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  
  Able to lift at least 50 lbs; able to work irregular hours (6pm–6am); able to walk, bend, stand, and reach for long periods; ability to maintain accurate records and follow written directions; ability to communicate effectively in person or by phone.

• Excellent communication and client service skills (in person, via phone, and in writing).
• Sound decision-making abilities and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to handle pets safely and ensure the safety of handlers.
• Enjoy keeping pets and kennels clean; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable and punctual; well-groomed, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working with dogs and cats; ability to comply with driving requirements for airport transport.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for long periods; comfortable with walking long distances and standing for extended times.

• Pay:
  From $19.00 per hour depending on experience
