Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and credentials, with a pay range of $30 to $36 per hour depending on experience.

Assist doctors and hospital staff with patient care and facility maintenance, including completing patient treatments, assisting in surgery, and other animal care tasks as part of the veterinary hospital operations.

• Previous experience or training/education in a veterinary facility.
• Friendly, outgoing, and people-oriented; excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to be cross-trained for front office receptionist duties; telephone and computer skills necessary.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to new techniques and treatments.

• College or college-equivalent education as required for becoming a Registered or Certified Veterinary Technician.
• Experience or ability to supervise/train veterinary assistants and kennel attendants; technician training as needed.
• Ability to perform emergency care within regulatory limits; dental and anesthesia experience preferred.

• Dependable attendance; able to controllable allergies to animals with medication.
• Lift up to 40 pounds; ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach for an 8-hour day.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; visual acuity for records and directions.
• Ability to operate hospital equipment and perform tasks with fine motor precision.

• Client relations and communication with clients and patients; assist reception staff with check-in/check-out and appointment scheduling.
• Nursing care, monitoring hospitalized patients, and assisting veterinarians with procedures and treatments.
• Housekeeping and maintenance of hospital facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Examinations/Assessments, Radiology, Dentistry, Laboratory, Pharmacy, and related hospital operations.
• Education and outreach to clients on animal husbandry, nutrition, vaccination schedules, dental care, and basic care instructions.
