• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with daily tasks, including cleaning and maintaining equipment, feeding, exercising, and grooming patients.
• Prepare and sanitize surgery suites, restrain and handle patients, and perform clerical and administrative work.
• Deliver quality care for all patients and provide exceptional client service.

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and their owners, take the patient’s weight, and record vital signs upon arrival.
• Triage patients, perform physical exams, administer medication as directed by licensed veterinary technicians.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist with medication administration and patient restraint.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment, including EKG, fluid pump, syringe pump, scales, anesthetic monitors, and machines.
• Fill prescriptions, calculate and administer medications, and maintain proper documentation of controlled drugs.
• Feed patients as prescribed, record appetites, and report any abnormal behavior.
• Communicate positively with clients and ensure they feel comfortable leaving their pet(s).
• Educate clients about insurance, wellness, and medication plans.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital each day, using chemicals, supplies, and laundry.
• Provide bathing and grooming for overnight patients, ensuring clean release.
• Adhere to hospital safety and wellness regulations.
• Follow oral and written directions.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Show up for work regularly; full-time presence at work is essential for every shift.
• Promote hospital products and services and support the organization.
• Respond respectfully and promptly to directions given by DVM or LVT.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager; may have other assigned duties if working in a specialty area.

• Two or more years’ experience in a veterinary environment, successfully performing all of the duties of this position.
• Customer service skills are a must.

• Open availability;
  Saturday a must.

$18 — $20 USD
