Nurse Director of Operating Room Perioperative Services

We are pleased to present a unique and challenging career opportunity for a Nurse Director of Operating Room Perioperative Services at a progressive acute care hospital located in beautiful, coastal Southern California.

The Nurse Director will work in a technologically advanced medical center that has served the community for over 70 years. The hospital is nationally recognized for its performance, quality, and teamwork in comprehensive surgical services.

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director will manage a busy department with 13 OR suites, supported by Nurse Managers of Operating Room and PACU, Manager of Central Sterile Processing, Charge Nurses, and over 100 skilled staff members. The department handles nearly 10,000 cases annually, including complex procedures.

• 24-hour responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of Perioperative Services, including the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Ambulatory, and Endoscopy departments.
• Space planning, hiring, supervision, and staff development, ensuring competence at all levels.
• Development and adherence to departmental standards based on AORN and other professional guidelines for evidence-based practice.
