Overview
Alvarado Eye Surgery Center (also known as St. Vincent Eye Surgery Medical Center) is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) PACU / OR Circulator to join our dedicated team. Located in Los Angeles, CA, our outpatient facility specializes in advanced ophthalmic surgical procedures. We provide patient-centered care focused on safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes.
What You Will Do (Job Summary)The PACU / OR Circulator RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy at all times. May assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate. Provide total comprehensive care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family in preparation for discharge.
ScheduleMonday-Friday work schedule. No call, no nights, no weekends, no holidays.
CompensationPay Range: $45.00 - $65.00/hour depending on experience.
Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse License to work in CA
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU or Critical Care; OR experience and ASC experience are a plus
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to change, creativity and innovation
- Ability to adapt to change quickly; strong knowledge base in surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Excellent teaching skills
- Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
- Must be an excellent team player with ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
- Current CPR, ACLS, PALS from AHA is required
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
