Position: Registered Nurse/Clinical II, ICU Unit **$8K Sign-On Bonus**

Overview

Valley Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse/Clinical II, ICU Unit. Employment Status:
Full Time (72-80 hours per pay period). Salary range: $52.08 to $69.24 per hour. Sign-On Bonus: $8,000.

What You'll Do
  • As a Registered Nurse/Clinical II, ICU Unit, provide high-quality patient care and education to patients and families in a supportive and therapeutic environment.
  • Maintain professional communication with colleagues, physicians, and the healthcare team using SBAR.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and Valley Presbyterian Hospital policies, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Cross-train to various areas within the hospital per policy.
  • Document care processes efficiently using information technology.
  • Collaborate with physicians and mentors to evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs.
  • Follow Universal Precautions and hospital infection control standards.
  • Administer medications per hospital policy and report any errors promptly.
  • Collect and interpret patient data, formulate nursing diagnoses, and assess patient conditions using the nursing process.
  • Advocate for patient and family values, beliefs, and standards.
  • Provide ongoing discharge education and plan effective discharges from admission.
  • Ensure a caring and compassionate approach, keeping patients and families informed.
  • Support hospital throughput initiatives for timely patient transfers and discharges.
  • Participate in unit or hospital quality initiatives and projects.
  • Exhibit professionalism in appearance, conduct, and communication.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience:

    Minimum of one (1) year of recent nursing experience in the department hiring the RN.
  • Education:

    ADN required; BSN preferred.
  • Licensure/

    Certifications:

    Current California RN license; BLS certification; LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire.
  • ICU Requirements: ACLS, NIHSS certification within 30 days of employment; annual critical care stroke education within 30 days of employment.
