Job Summary

5 Star Medical Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Bakersfield, California. The RN will provide coordinated, compassionate care in a high-acuity ER environment. This position requires critical thinking, leadership, and a commitment to patient safety and teamwork.

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individuals or groups of patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Create a safe, healing environment for patients and families.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to other members of the healthcare team.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.

• Licensure:
  Active RN license in California
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience required (3+ years preferred)
• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Certifications (Required): BLS, ACLS, PALS

• Must be compliant with all vaccination requirements per facility and agency policies.
• Acute care hospital experience strongly preferred.
• 36-hour weekly schedule with possible 48-hour weeks.
